„Pobyt v Ekvádoru mne hluboce zasáhl a změnil život.

You will enjoy this expedition if...
If you long for a true adventure, merging with nature and a deep understanding of life in the heart of the Amazon jungle.
If you are interested in science, nature conservation, or simply want to step out of your comfort zone.
When you are attracted to an authentic connection with nature and want to fully experience it.
When you are looking for inspiration, new impulses and want to discover a different way of life.

What will we work on?
You will spend three intense weeks in the heart of the Amazon wilderness. You will participate in various projects based on the current needs of the area and the weather. Everything we do together here contributes to the real protection of one of the planet's most valuable ecosystems.
You will prepare deforested land for subsequent reforestation.
You will join in the transportation and planting of seedlings.
Will you help with cleaning and marking trails in the jungle.
You will learn to work with camera traps – their installation and evaluating the recordings.
The adventure begins
It's not just about conservation; we will also plan several local trips. Just like the conservation-work, the specifics of these trips vary depending on their availability and your interests. We anticipate enjoying many of the following experiences with you:
We will visit the sacred waterfalls.
We will go hiking in the rainforest and learn about the life it sustains.
We will visit indigenous communities and listen to the legends and spells that the rainforests still hide.
We will explore the local caves and discover hidden underground spaces.
We will get acquainted with traditional healing herbs and treatments.
We will visit local eco-entrepreneurs producing guayusa and cacao

What should I take with me?
If we had to share one piece of advice with explorers, it would be to keep an open mind and a sense of adventure. The second piece of advice would be to pack light.

How much will this adventure cost?
We designed these trips to be as affordable as possible: We want to give the largest number of explorers the opportunity to sustainably help care for the rainforest and to create a personal connection with this untouched nature.
The total price for the stay is 1000 USD
The price includes:
Food
Accommodation
Transportation in Ecuador during the trip
The costs of trips (visiting the Shuar community or a trip to the caves, etc.)
Price EXCLUDES:
Your flights or transport to Ecuador
Transport between the airport where you land and Gualaquiza
Travel insurance
How can we get there?
The Jungle Expedition begins in Gualaquiza, a town near the Ecuadorian Amazon and the base camp/refuge Bosque Medicinal. The closest international airports are quite far away, and the bus ride from the airport to the jungle takes quite some time. Please plan your journey accordingly. We will do everything we can to assist you with your travel plans.
Flights:
*You are responsible for booking your flights; the cost of flights IS NOT included in the fees we charge for the jungle expedition.
We recommend flying in to Guayaquil, as the airport often has more convenient connections and is cheaper than flying to Cuenca, which is technically closer. Quito is much further north, and consequently we do not recommend flying in to Quito.
Bus:
Once you land, take a taxi to the bus station and then take a bus to Gualaquiza. We will meet in Gualaquiza either at the bus station or at the hostel “El Paraíso.” The hostel is just a block from the bus station.
We are happy to help with all travel arrangements, but please contact us well in advance!

Feedback from jungle-explorers
Our work has a real impact on nature.

"In the last few months, I found myself trapped in a cycle of negativity. I went through a divorce, developed unhealthy habits, struggled with sleep, stopped focusing on my business, and felt my motivation and energy dwindling. My trip to the Amazon rainforest with the Bosque Medicinal community was exactly what I needed. From the very beginning I felt a deep connection with the beautiful...

"My stay in Ecuador deeply effected me and changed my life. I love the wilderness, but also street art and music, and Ecuador offers all of that. During my stay, I found myself again, my strength, health, and wonderful friendships with like-minded souls. Thank you very much for the great organization and the time spent together in peace and fun 🙏🏼💖 I am very grateful that I made this journey."

"I have already gone on an expedition to the jungle twice. The first time I was called by the need to journey deep into the jungle, to stop for a moment and lend a hand to a meaningful project. By 'chance', I came across Forest.ink. This experience profoundly influenced and directed my life...

"It was beautiful. The nature, the people, working in the garden, the market, the food, guitars, sharing, indigenous, chocolate... and trips through the rainforest to the waterfalls. No wonder it is called El Paraíso there."
