We protect the rainforest as a whole
We see the rainforest as a living whole that needs support from all sides. That's why we work comprehensively — in the field, in schools and with local communities.

We conserve the rainforest
We buy endangered land and incorporate it into the municipal Runahurco reserve.

We restore and reforest
We return native plants to previously deforested areas, including medicinal and beneficial species such as the cinchona tree (malaria treatment) or wayusa (energy, focus).

We monitor and protect biodiversity
We place camera traps in the rainforest, tracking animal movement and the return of endangered species.

Our El Refugio station is a place where science, local knowledge and children's curiosity meet. It hosts ecological workshops, research and aha moments when people realize the crucial role of the Amazon for the whole planet. We awaken a living relationship with nature in participants and teach them to understand, protect and see nature as home.
We are building an active network of people — children, students, scientists and volunteers from all over the world. We share a common vision: to protect the planet, support the ecosystems of the Amazon and preserve the rainforest for future generations.

Our work with children in Ecuador
More than 200 children from the Mauro Calderón primary school have visited our El Refugio station. We prepare ecological workshops, experiential activities and programs that open their way to a close relationship with nature. We also visit their school. Together we created a comic about recycling, started a school garden and painted a tree of human virtues. We help children understand that protecting nature can be part of everyday life.

Cooperation with an Ecuadorian university
In 2024, biology and environmental engineering students from Universidad del Azuay visited our station. They studied water quality in local streams and the health of surrounding ecosystems. The local community also joined the research, sharing their knowledge and helping collect samples. The results showed high biodiversity — a healthy aquatic environment despite the area being heavily affected by cattle farming. For us, this is great hope and motivation to continue.

Supporting the Lidická Bílina primary school
Helping the Amazon can start right in a schoolyard in the Czech Republic. A beautiful example is our cooperation with the Bílina primary school in May 2025, where active teachers organized a charity event for the Amazon. Together we created a full-day program with theatre, music, crafts and stories about the rainforest and the work of Forest.ink. Thanks to the organizers' dedication and the local community's involvement, 54,360 CZK was raised. With these funds we bought camera traps for our Ecuadorian reserve. They help us monitor movement in the rainforest and contribute to its protection. Thank you for the support!
Would you like to organize a similar event at your school or company? Write to us — we'll gladly support you with materials or come in person.
Czech TV documentary “Mission: The Amazon and Us”
Take a look behind the scenes of our work and see what rainforest protection looks like directly in the field.
The documentary was made in cooperation with Czech Television and Mendel University.
Directed by Martin Smékal and Jiří Šlofar.
We stand by those for whom the rainforest is home and livelihood
Real nature protection is not just about planting trees, but also about supporting and involving the people who live and work there. That's why we cooperate with local communities and farmers and create opportunities for them to get involved.

The Shuar
The Shuar are among the indigenous peoples of the Amazon region. We cooperate with the Chiriap family and the Tsunki Chiriap cultural center, which protects the language, traditions and spiritual heritage of the tribe. We visit them on expeditions, so volunteers get to know the authentic Shuar culture — their stories, relationship with nature and way of life. In doing so, we support the preservation of traditions and intercultural dialogue.

Raywana wayusa
Wayusa (Ilex guayusa) is a tree whose leaves are used to prepare a traditional energizing drink of Amazonian peoples. The producer Raywana grows wayusa on their land while supporting Shuar families so they can farm ecologically and sustainably. With volunteers we help directly on the farm while working to give wayusa greater commercial potential. When sales do well, so do the families who grow it — and the pressure to cut down the rainforest decreases.

Native Sacha cacao
Native Sacha is an artisan cacao and chocolate brand. Their permaculture farm shows how agriculture can work in harmony with the rainforest and its animals. Fruit trees and plants grow among the cacao trees, giving the cacao its typically lively and fruity flavor. You can buy Native Sacha products from us in Czechia too and support Ecuadorian farmers from afar.
You can taste our delicious cacao and wayusa at our events. Would you like to order it for your own events or your shop?
